Memory Care
People who suffer from Alzheimer's disease and other age or health related dementia need specialized care, but may not require a nursing facility.
Our community includes a Memory Care residence designed specifically for Alzheimer's and dementia care. This unique area provides exit control plus extra assistance with activities of daily living. Our compassionate staff is trained to handle the unique needs of people with dementia.
Memory Care provides the same services and amenities as Assisted Living, with upgrades designed to meet each resident's individual needs.
Each activity is designed to create a positive experience for our dementia residents. Participation in activities enhances feelings of self-worth, general health, personal relationships, and communication skills. Light exercise can help maintain muscles and flexibility. An engaged resident will experience decreased pacing and restlessness, and reduced nervous tension. We concentrate on familiar abilities to avoid frustration or agitation at not being able to accomplish an activity. Connecting corridors and garden paths allow residents to wander safely. The courtyard offers fresh air, sunshine and outdoor activities.
We encourage family members to visit often and participate in activities and programs. We want you to be part of your loved one's care team.
