At Park Place, we understand the unique needs of Alzheimer’s residents, and have created a lifestyle that compliments those needs. Our staff is trained in the field of Dementia, and our mission is to protect privacy, preserve dignity, encourage independence and provide a homelike environment. Safety is always a priority at Park Place. Our comfortable homelike environment allows freedom of movement in a controlled environment. Our Memory Support® area is a separate area with exit control and large areas both indoor and outdoor to allow residents to wander freely. Memory boxes containing personal items by each resident’s doorway assist them in recognizing their apartment. Park Place has been designed so residents can easily find their way and our courtyard allows each resident to enjoy the sunshine, gardening and outdoor activities. In addition to the 24-hour staff, our Alzheimer's Program Specialist encourages each resident to become involved in our therapeutic recreational daily activity program. Sing-a-longs, aromatherapy, gardening, painting and weekly outings are just a few of the many planned activities. Mealtime can be challenging for an Alzheimer’s Resident, so we have developed innovative methods to help stimulate appetites, assist with a balanced diet and encourage residents to eat as independently as possible. Our meals have been approved by a registered dietician and we also encourage family and friends to take advantage of our family meal program. In addition to providing quality services to our residents, our families are very much a part of Park Place. Nobody understands the needs of a loved one more than their family. We welcome families to visit as often as they wish, participate in programs, attend support groups, and be a part of our Memory Support® Team. Best of all, our affordable monthly fee has been structured to allow each resident to receive the care they may require.
